bio.
i was born in the suburbs of philadelphia, daughter to an inventor-father & a mother addicted to reading science fiction novels. after a childhood instilled with unfettered imagination & absent boundaries, i put myself through art school where i studied photography & discovered anthropology.
i have taught photography workshops to children in mixed-caste schools in gujarat, india as well as diverse neighborhoods in north philadelphia. i have interned at sarah stolfa's philadelphia photo arts center and the ICP library in new york. i have been an on-call disaster photographer for the american red cross and apprenticed at a philadelphia photographer's co-op.
i recently self-published my first photo book & am currently traveling across south america photographing for 25 non-profit organizations while i am 25 years old.
